Seeking companies interested in designing a
device to replace the obsolete Ramtek Model 9400 Video
Generator (VG). A software-based solution is a possibility.
VG takes commands from control computer via an IEEE-488 bus.
(The host computer is DEC PDP-11/70).

VG provides 4 RGB video outputs per device. Resolution of each
video output is approx. 256 vertical X 640 horizontal pixels.
Commands from control computer to VG are sent using
proprietary Ramtek protocol. VG produces text in 6 colors
(approx 7 X 9 pixels /character) as well as geometric
primitives (i.e. circle, arc, rectangles).

VG will be used in nuclear generating facility, so must
confirm to high quality standards for design and supply
(i.e. CSA standards software: Q396.0, hardware Z299.2)
