A. General Description: Casein portion of milk in a spray dried powder form.

B. Physical Requirements:
1. Color: White to Cream.
2. Flavor/Odor: Bland and Clean.
3. Texture: Grainy Powder.
4. Granulation:
80% minimum must pass AFNOR 24 sieve (200 microns)
12% maximum must pass AFNOR 18 sieve (50 microns)

E. Ingredient Statement: Casein
Each container shall be clearly and properly labeled with the
following information:

Ingredient name
Conagra ingredient number (53306)
Net weight
Processing date or code
Manufactures name and address

F. Packaging: laminated super-sacks made of extruded woven
polypropylene, and with poly-liners and spouts.
Staples and metal ties are unacceptable. The use of humidity absorbent
packets in bulk bags is optional.

G. Net weight: 2204 lbs. (2280 lbs. gross including pallet).

H. Shipment: CFFC pickup, common carrier or as specified by Conagra purchasing.

I. Storage: Clean, dry area at ambient temperature.

J. Shelf-Life: 18 months at storage conditions listed above.

K. Compliance: This specification is the basis for casein purchases
by Conagra frozen food companies.
Failure to comply with this specification may constitute rejection of
the shipment or the incurrence of charges to the supplier for
additional process or labor requirements.
