Dear Sir/Madam,
We are in the process of launching a new range of products and will
be using DVD style boxes as packaging. We would like to obtain a
quote for three different sizes of box, the details of which can be found
below. Ideally, we would like to find an existing design, that very closely
matches our own, in order that we do not have to produce a bespoke
tool for production. However, if this is not possible then we will look
at producing our tools.
At this point, the information we are looking for is as follows:
Quote for cost and production time if we use an existing box design and tool.
Quote for cost and production time if producing a bespoke box and tool.
Once we have found a suitable manufacturer we would like to see samples of their previous products.
Product Description (applies to all 3 boxes):
The type of box we would like is the "double living hinge" version,
photo.
Unlike a standard DVD box, our boxes will have no internal fixings - so no
clips or fixes to hold a DVD or instruction manuals. The inside of our boxes will
be flat.
We would like to produce all three boxes in a translucent blue plastic - like the
DVD boxes for the Xbox computer console, but in blue.
The boxes should have a plastic sleeve around the outside to hold packaging
artwork - as is standard with normal DVD boxes.
The internal space is very important. There will obviously be
structural "support lines" inside of the box to give the structure strength, however
these will get in the way of the product - therefore, the internal space
requirements listed below must take into account the "support lines"

Box 1 - 25mm
External Dimensions: 190mm x 135mm x 25mm
Internal Space: 185mm x 130mm x 20mm

Box 2 - 35mm
External Dimensions: 190mm x 135mm x 35mm
Internal Space: 185mm x 130mm x 32mm

Box 3 - 48mm
External Dimensions: 190mm x 135mm x 48mm
Internal Space: 185
