Big quantity purchase through bid
Some government offices of Bangladesh are responsible for
purchase big quantity of some products through bid. Minimum
10,000mt and maximum 100,000mt is required quantity per lot.
(bid mean buyer invites offers and sellers submit price quote
with quality & terms. Whose quote is found lowest that is
selected as supplier).
The products are as follows:
Fertilizer: Urea, NPK, Rock Phosphate, Zink Sulphate,
Aluminum Sulphate
Rice, Lentil (Pulse)
Male latex condom
Pulp (for paper mills)
Para formaldehyde (for fertilizer industry).

Suppliers should have strong position and at least have few
experiences to deal on their products in big volume. Payment
term 100% L/C at sight. Seller may choose a local agent or
may deal it direct. A small amount of security money of bank
guarantee should be submitted by the bidder. After win the bid,
bidder should return back the security money, but a performance
guarantee bond (PGB) should submit with a validity up to the
deal is finished. Generally agent receives a commission
(1% to 2% of total value).
