Dear Sir:
I am writing to inquire about railway wagons and other items
for Bangladesh Railway. Bangladesh Railway has undertaken
several projects to procure large numbers of wagons, carriages, etc.
The following are some of the projects:
1. Procurement of 100 MG flat bogie wagons and 5 bogie brake
vans for container transport. Estimated cost: US $7 million
2. Procurement of special type wagons for carrying coal and
hard rocks. Estimated cost: US $47 million
3. Procurement of 500 BG special-type bogie and 20 bogie brake
vans for carrying coals. Estimated cost: US $55 million
4. Procurement of 50 BG and 100 MG carriages. Estimated cost:
US $70 Million
5. Several more items such as 117 BG and MG locomotives,
signaling system, wagon identification and automatic charting
of trains,
2 BG and 2 MG cranes for accident relief trains, conversion
of brake system, etc.
We are looking for suitable manufacturers interested in the
project/s. If you are interested in one or more of the above
items, please let us know. We will then forward you the details
about the project / s. I am writing on behalf of a reputed railway
contractor which in the past performed a wide range of
railway works such as re-furbishing railway carriages,
completing railway by-pass work, constructing railway bridges.
